The best thing that Batman and Robin ever contributed too...

I know what you are thinking, 'it this chick mentally handicapped or something, how can Batman and Robin contribute to anything positive?'  Well...  I shit you not, it is something fantastic.

I was sitting in my car sometime last year and I was tuning into my favourite radio station, Triple J, when breakfast hosts Tom and Alex were reading out the weather forecast.  During this forecast a delightful song was playing in the background, this was the song.

I want to thank everyone who made this mix by Luke Million possible, first and foremost, Arnie's voice and acting ablility, director Joel Schumacher and his attention to detail, screenwriter Akiva Goldsman and the free-flowing, witty and powerful dialogue he wrote for Mr Freeze and the lovely people at  Warner Bros who made this whole film possible--because without Batman and Robin, this beautiful piece of ear heaven would not exist.

Thank you Luke Million, please use more Batman and Robin, its ace!

2013 Golden Globe Well Educated Guesses at Winners

Any awards show that mixes TV and film is okay in my opinion! The Golden Globes are my favourite awards show and I love talking about it and guessing who will win. I am a bit late on commenting on the Golden Globes but I am going to continue to do it anyway.  Overall, this year I am both happy and surprised with the nominees.

I am going to highlight with red who I want to win and I will provide my interesting insightful well educated guesses with a note.

Best Motion Picture - Drama

Nominees:

Argo (2012)

Life of Pi (2012)

Lincoln (2012)

Although I have not seen 3 of these films--due to not being released in Aus yet--I actually want Ben Affleck's Argo to win.  I am a massive Tarantino fan but I think Affleck's film did something new and brilliant. Zero Dark Thirty will prob win though, just because of all the hype and it's content.

Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

I want one of the little guys to win.  Although I really want to see Silver Linings and I have heard its great I want to back Moonrise Kingdom for the win.  Wes Anderson makes fantastic, visually simulating films that need to have more recognition.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama

Nominees:

Back off Daniel Day-Lewis you already have TWO Oscars, you don't need anymore awards. I like Joaquin Phoenix and I think that being MIA for a few years gave him time to master his art (get it, ha).

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama

Nominees:

I would love Mirren to win for Hitchcock but I think Chastain has had way to much hype on her, her chances of winning are beyond high.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

Jack Black for Bernie (2011)

Hugh Jackman is Australian so I need to back up my home boy.  I think it is his year and I think that even if he doesn't win at the Globes, he has a chance at the Oscars. Go Hugh!!

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

Maggie Smith for Quartet (2012)

I think Jennifer Lawrence needs some love, the girl can act.  I hope she wins.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture

Nominees:

Alan Arkin for Argo (2012)

Christoph Waltz for Django Unchained (2012)

It is totally Leo's year, do I have to say anymore? Tarantino gave him the perfect role for earning this award!

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture

Nominees:

Amy Adams for The Master (2012)

Sally Field for Lincoln (2012)

Nicole Kidman for The Paperboy (2012)

I think any of these actresses can win but I am going to say Sally Field because I can.

Best Director - Motion Picture

Nominees:

Ben Affleck for Argo (2012)

Ang Lee for Life of Pi (2012)

Quentin Tarantino for Django Unchained (2012)

Reasons being--ditto for best film.

Best Screenplay - Motion Picture

Nominees:

Tarantino can write the shit out of any film he ever makes.  He deserves this this year.

Best Original Song - Motion Picture

Nominees:

Skyfall (2012): Adele, Paul Epworth("Skyfall")

Stand Up Guys (2012): Jon Bon Jovi("Not Running Anymore")

I am saying Les Mis only because it is the only musical in the mix so therefore it should technically win, true?

Best Original Score - Motion Picture

Nominees:

Lincoln (2012): John Williams

Once again with original score anyone can win basically.  I will go with Cloud Atlas, just because its the first time I am seeing it in the noms.

Best Animated Film

Nominees:

Brave (2012)

As someone who enjoys gaming I think Wreck-It Ralph was put together great and was the best animated film of the year, first to Hotel Transylvania.

Best Foreign Language Film

Nominees:

Amour (2012)

Intouchables (2011)

Kon-Tiki (2012)

I have heard good things about Intouchables so, it will win--hopefully.

Best Television Series - Drama

Nominees:

"Homeland" (2011)

"The Newsroom" (2012)

I think this year Breaking Bad can steal victory with its last season.  I love Hal!

Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

"Episodes" (2011)

"Girls" (2012)

"Smash" (2012)

It has a slim chance  of winning but after catching a episode of Episodes I can say it is really good and should win.  Come on it has Joey in it!

Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television

Nominees:

Game Change (2012) (TV)

The Girl (2012) (TV)

"The Hour" (2011)

"Political Animals" (2012)

I like Hitchcock so I want The Girl to win, even though the film Hitchcock was way better then the mini series.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama

Nominees:

Jon Hamm for "Mad Men" (2007)

Team Hal for the win!

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama

Nominees:

Julianna Margulies for "The Good Wife" (2009)

I have not seen Nashville but after watching American Horror Story I have a new found interest in Connie Britton.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

Louis C.K. for "Louie" (2010)

Jim Parsons for "The Big Bang Theory" (2007)

How can you not back Jim Parsons?

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy

Nominees:

Lena Dunham for "Girls" (2012)

Tina Fey for "30 Rock" (2006)

Amy Poehler for "Parks and Recreation" (2009)

I am a hip person so why not go for the hip new girl?

Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television

Nominees:

Woody Harrelson for Game Change (2012) (TV)

Toby Jones for The Girl (2012) (TV)

Clive Owen for Hemingway & Gellhorn (2012) (TV)

I think Clive Owen is an awesome actor and I am sure he own as Hemingway.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television

Nominees:

Sienna Miller for The Girl (2012) (TV)

Julianne Moore for Game Change (2012) (TV)

Sigourney Weaver for "Political Animals" (2012)

American Horror Story is my home girl--love the show to death! LOLZ

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television

Nominees:

Ed Harris for Game Change (2012) (TV)

This guy has been nominated from the outside, hopefully he can swing a victory.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television

Nominees:

Sarah Paulson for Game Change (2012) (TV)

Sofía Vergara for "Modern Family" (2009)

Someone different for a change.  My favourite hero can hopefully win.
